Agricultural Farm
Field Trip
On October 3rd our class along with grades 2, 3, and 5 went on a wonderful educational field trip to an agricultural farm in Dow. We learned so many things about what it was like in the past to live life on a farm. We were shown demonstrations on how to make lye soap, make butter, spin wool, make rope, shuck corn, and how to pump water from the ground. We were given a tour of old farm machinery, learned how to play some old farm games, saw fossils and rocks, and ended with a wagon ride across the property. All the demonstrators are volunteers who give of thier time to teach children about agriculture. We really could not have asked God for a more beautiful day to enjoy this field trip. Enjoy the slideshow of our field trip.
